Hasitha Wijesundara is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and international development. Currently serving as Senior Director at HNB Finance since November 2016, Hasitha holds multiple leadership roles, including Independent Non-Executive member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of both the Board Credit Committee and the Board Human Resources & Remuneration Committee. Previously, Hasitha worked at Deloitte as Team Lead in Trade & Investment and served as an International Consultant for the International Trade Centre. Earlier career roles include Advisor/Lead for SME Development & Trade at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Manager of SME Development at National Development Bank PLC. Hasitha holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Colombo and an Attorney-at-Law degree from Sri Lanka Law College, complemented by further education from the World Trade Institute and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
