Uro L. is a Research Data Engineer at Citadel Securities, focusing on alternative data for alpha generation since July 2022. Previously, Uro served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Maryland, contributing to research on revenue-maximizing auctions accepted at AISTATS 2022. Uro held the position of Co-President at the Smith Investment Fund, where systematic strategy research was conducted from September 2018 to December 2021. Uro gained software engineering experience through internships at Facebook, working on projects related to assistant question answering and civic integrity, and completed a quantitative research internship at Millennium Management LLC, focusing on systematic VIX and options strategy research. Academically, Uro holds a degree from the University of Maryland and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School's Math, Science, and Computer Science Magnet program.
