Darren Oakley is a seasoned Senior DevOps Consultant with extensive experience across various prestigious organizations. Since May 2022, Darren has been serving as a Senior DevOps Consultant with HM Revenue & Customs, having previously held similar roles at Equal Experts and Darren's Majesty's Prison and Probation Service, where Darren contributed to the development of a new service for managing offender recalls on a cloud platform. Prior to that, Darren worked on the RTGS renewal program at the Bank of England, implementing automation for OpenShift clusters. Darren's career began as a Software Engineer at Nested Estate Agents, evolving into the Head of Platform, where significant platform transformations were achieved. Further experiences include leading technical projects at BBC News and serving as a Discipline / Technical Lead at Macmillan Science and Education. Darren holds a PhD and MSc in Bioinformatics from Cranfield University and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Hertfordshire.
