Sadhana Alangar has an extensive work experience in the field of education and academia. Sadhana started their career as a Research Associate at the University of Madras in 1985. Sadhana then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Texas Tech University, where they assisted faculty members and taught the introductory financial management course. Sadhana went on to hold various positions at Wayne State University, including Senior Lecturer from 1993 to 1995, and later at the University of Hawai'i System as an Assistant Professor from 1995 to 1996.
In 2000, Sadhana joined Cleary University as the Dean of International Programs. In this role, they played a vital role in developing and implementing student learning outcomes and assessments at both the program and college levels. Sadhana also successfully promoted diversity on campus and oversaw efforts to attract, enroll, and advise international students. Additionally, Sadhana restructured recruitment standards, resulting in increased enrollment and improved student retention rates.
Later, they served as the Dean of College of Graduate Studies and then as the Dean of College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Cleary University. In these roles, they worked with the Provost to establish and support plans for on-ground and online education, promote excellence in teaching and learning, and develop operating budgets for the college.
Most recently, Sadhana joined Health Level Seven International as HL7 International's Director of Education at Association Management Group, Inc.
Sadhana Alangar obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics from the University of Madras, which they attended from 1977 to 1980. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from the same university, studying from 1980 to 1982. Sadhana then went on to Texas Tech University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business (Corporate Finance) from 1989 to 1993.
In terms of additional certifications, Sadhana Alangar obtained a Six Sigma Certification from Cleary University in 2009. Sadhana also received a People Analytics certification from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School in March 2017, as well as a Customer Analytics certification from Coursera Course Certificates in February 2017. Additionally, they obtained an Operations Analytics certification, although the institution from which they obtained it is unspecified.
