Genovesi Alfonso has extensive experience in quality management and certification within the rail and engineering sectors, currently serving as General Manager of Quality and VP Quality & Certification at Hitachi Rail since October 2015. Prior to this, Alfonso held multiple senior positions at Ansaldobreda, including VP Quality & Certification, VP Industrialization & Planning, and Plant Manager, among others, since July 2008. Earlier in their career at Nuovo Pignone, Alfonso served as Plant Manager and Technical Manager at the Vibo Valentia plant, building a solid foundation in quality control and management. Alfonso earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano between 1982 and 1988.
