John Snell is a highly experienced professional in biomedical engineering and medical imaging, currently serving as the Manager of Advanced Simulation and Applications at HistoSonics, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this role, John held the position of Brain Program Technical Director at the Focused Ultrasound Foundation for nearly 13 years, where responsibilities included directing research on transcranial MR-guided focused ultrasound applications and contributing to clinical research at the University of Virginia. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Varian Medical Systems, Chief Scientist at the Focused Ultrasound Surgery Foundation, and Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia Health System, focusing on medical image processing and radiosurgery planning. John holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
