Diarmuid McCoy currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the US at Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd / The Family (Music) Ltd, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this, Diarmuid held the role of VP of Finance at The Virtual Reality Company from July 2017 to July 2021 and served as Senior Director Finance at Universal Music Group from July 2013 to June 2017. Earlier experience includes roles as iTunes Finance Manager at Apple for a brief period in 2013, Finance Transformation SME, International Controller, and Director, Worldwide Compliance and Controls at Paramount Pictures between September 2007 and October 2012, as well as positions in corporate internal audit at Vivendi Universal and as Audit Senior Finance at Seagram’s. Diarmuid began the career as an Auditor at Grant Thornton Ireland from November 1998 to February 2000. Educational credentials include studies at Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, following earlier education at St Finians College.
