Sam Slade is an experienced executive in the employee benefits sector, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Hilb Group since April 2020. Prior to this role, Sam held the position of Vice President of Employer Segment at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island from March 2016 to February 2020, overseeing the development and management of the employer segment P&L. Sam's earlier career includes leadership roles such as Employee Benefits Practice Leader at USI and Owner & CEO of Bluff Head Enterprises, Inc., an employee benefit consulting firm. Additionally, Sam has experience as an Employee Benefits Consultant at Johnson & Higgins and began a career in sales as a Field Sales Representative at Travelers. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Wesleyan University.
