Jennifer L. Stier is the President of HighSage Ventures.

Ms. Stier is also a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Highfields Capital. Prior to joining Highfields in 2004, Ms. Stier spent over 15 years in the fund administration business. She co-founded the U.S. affiliate of hedge fund administrator Hemisphere, and when it was subsequently acquired by BISYS, she became Co-President of BISYS Fund Services globally. Prior to Hemisphere, Ms. Stier was Director of Taxation at Investors Bank & Trust Company. She started her career at Pricewaterhouse in the Financial Services Industry Practice where she specialized in investment companies and partnership taxation.

Ms. Stier is a founding member of OneGoal, an organization focused on ensuring that every young person has an equitable opportunity to achieve their greatest postsecondary aspirations, and former Chair of its Greater Boston Regional Board of Directors. She is also a former Trustee of The Fessenden School, where she sat on the Audit Committee, served as Treasurer of the Board and Chair of the Finance Committee, and was a member of the Executive Committee. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Managed Funds Association and of State Street’s Hedge Fund Client Advisory Council. Ms. Stier is currently a member of the Belmont Hill Corporation, serves on the Endowment Board of Trustees for Temple Beth Elohim and is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs where she serves on the Alternative Investment Committee. Ms. Stier has been named one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds.

Ms. Stier received her CPA license in 1989 and a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Bucknell University. She and her husband reside in Newton, MA and have two college-aged children.
