Virginia Castilla Llorente is an accomplished professional in the field of molecular biology, currently serving as Vice President of Molecular Biology at Uncommon since November 2023. Prior to this role, Virginia held multiple positions at Evox Therapeutics Ltd from November 2017 to September 2023, including Research Associate Director focused on RNA and Exosomes, Group Leader, and Research and Development Scientist. Virginia's earlier experience includes a Research Associate position at UCL's Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at MSKCC, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Centro de BiologÃa Molecular Severo Ochoa. Virginia completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2003 to 2008, following a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same institution, completed in 2001.
