Melissa Davis is a seasoned fundraising and development professional with extensive experience in higher education and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Development at Higher Ed Works since March 2022, Melissa previously held significant roles such as Director of Foundation Relations at Johnson C. Smith University from February 2012 to March 2022, where leadership in corporate and foundation partnerships was demonstrated. Additional experience includes positions as Annual Fund Officer at Johnson C. Smith University, Special Events Specialist at Communities In Schools of Charlotte Mecklenburg, and Director of Development at North Carolina Central University School of Law. Melissa also directed special programs related to substance abuse for the General Board of Global Ministries in two separate tenures.
