Steve Schlangen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Steve started their career in 1996 as an Account Executive at FBS Data Systems, where they remained until 2012. Following this, they joined Fargo Jet Center as a Pilot/Flight Instructor and served in this role for six years. In 2018, they transitioned to High Point Networks as a Corporate Pilot.

Steve Schlangen attended La Crosse Aquinas High School from 1974 to 1976. Steve then transferred to La Crescent High School and studied there from 1976 to 1978. After completing high school, Steve enrolled at the University of Minnesota, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics from 1978 to 1982.
