David Philipe Gil has a diverse range of work experience in the field of game design and art. David Philipe started their career as a Production Artist at Netamorphasis in 1998 before moving on to work as a User Interface Designer at Passlogix in 1999. From 2000 to 2003, David worked as a Game Artist at Powerhead Games, where they developed automation techniques for image conversion and created game interfaces, characters, and other assets.

In 2003, David transitioned to the role of Web Designer at Columbia University in the City of New York, where they updated and maintained web pages and created graphical charts and retouched photographs for online courses. David Philipe returned to Powerhead Games in 2005, this time as the Lead Game Artist. In this role, they led the design and work-flow planning of art asset requirements for multiple mobile games and also continued to be involved in asset creation.

David then worked as a Game Artist at Sifteo from 2012 to 2013, where they built pixel optimized environments, game sprites, and animations for mobile games. David Philipe also developed an automation tool-set using Photoshop Actions for graphic optimization on the Sifteo mobile gaming platform.

In 2014, David joined High 5 Games as a Graphic Designer, focusing on localization. David Philipe designed logos and other art assets for casino slot games localized in various languages and implemented departmental improvements. David Philipe also coded automation scripts using JavaScript and Python to streamline workflows.

David's most recent role was as an Instructional Designer at Udacity in 2017, where they contributed to the design of instructional materials.
