Sarah Carpenter has over six years of experience in the publishing industry, including positions as an intern, editor, and associate editor. Sarah is currently a product developer at HIAGO Inc. Sarah has a passion for using their skills to develop products that improve the lives of others. In their previous position as editor-in-chief at Laney Tower, Sarah was responsible for managing the editorial team, copyediting, and layout for the print edition. Sarah also facilitated a partnership with a competitions platform. As an assistant to Sonia Nazario, Sarah had the opportunity to learn from a pulitzer-prize winning immigration reporter while assisting their in administrative tasks, research, social media, and more. Sarah's experience also includes working as a fellow at Bay News Rising, a project of the Pacific Media Workers Guild, and as an associate editor at The Oakland Post where they improved their skills with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InCopy, and Wordpress.

Sarah Carpenter has a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, a High School Diploma from Loara High School, and Certifications from Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in Google Ads Display Certification and Google Ads Search Certification.
