Peter Lawrence is an accomplished technology and digital strategist with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Non Executive Director and Board Chair at Vault Cloud, and the Senior Technology and Digital Strategist at HESTA, Peter has also acted as Senior Advisor at State of Matter since November 2017. Previous roles include Director at Go Forward Consulting Ltd, Programme Director for Digital Transformation at O2 (Telefónica UK), and Chief Information Officer for the Department of Defence (Australia). Peter's career highlights include senior positions at Origin Energy, ANZ New Zealand, and Shell, where responsibilities spanned information technology leadership and digital transformation initiatives. Peter holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bath, along with management qualifications from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
