Nick Henegan currently serves as the Head of Communications at Hertfordshire County Council, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Nick was the Head of Strategic Communications and Chief Press Officer at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities from October 2018 to April 2023. Nick's experience in the communications field includes serving as Senior Communications Manager at BBC Media Action and Media Relations Manager at BBC. Additionally, a substantial part of Nick's career was spent at the Metropolitan Police from February 2006 to September 2013, where responsibilities included Press Officer and Senior Press Officer. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American Literature from the University of East Anglia.
