Matthew Tivnan has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Matthew started their career as a Marketing Intern at Big Sisters of Rhode Island in 2009. Matthew then took on the role of Marketing Coordinator at Sage Hospitality in 2010. In 2011, they joined Midas Hospitality, LLC as a Sales Manager before moving on to Hersha Hospitality Management in 2012, where they served as a Senior Sales Manager until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as the Director of Sales at Colwen Hotels. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Sales at Hersha Hospitality Management, a role they have been in since 2018.

Matthew Tivnan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and double minor in Political Science, Literary and Cultural Studies from Bryant University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Burncoat Senior High School from 2002 to 2006, but did not earn a degree or pursue a specific field of study there.
