Imel Rautenbach is an accomplished IT Executive at Herotel since June 2016, leading the Information Technology stream and shaping strategies in Cloud infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Software Development standards. As National Head of Systems at a prominent fixed wireless internet service provider in South Africa, Imel has driven the long-term IT strategy. Additionally, Imel co-founded Digital Village, focused on providing broadband access to underserved communities, and founded several successful ventures including DataTill and Cloud Connect Networks, enhancing bandwidth management and launching innovative ISP products. Imel also established the Garden Route ICT Incubator and has a history of advocacy and leadership in regional ICT initiatives through various organizations, including past presidency of the George Business Chamber. Educational background includes an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University and multiple diplomas in Information Technology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
