Jari-Pekka Mäkiaho is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in GIS data analysis and a strong background in ice hockey officiating. Currently serving as a Senior Local Data Intelligence Analyst at HERE Technologies since 2013, Mäkiaho specializes in GIS-data analysis and map database maintenance. Additionally, Mäkiaho holds the position of Video Goal Judge in the Finnish Hockey League and has officiated over 2200 ice hockey games as a referee. Mäkiaho’s academic pursuits include being a Ph.D. student at the University of Helsinki, with prior experience as an assistant professor and researcher. Mäkiaho has also contributed to various committees and organizations, showcasing a commitment to both academic and professional excellence in geography and sports.
