Carissa Dickerson is a seasoned medical writing professional with extensive experience in healthcare and education. Currently serving as a Principal Medical Writer at HEOR since October 2018, Carissa also held the position of Senior Medical Writer. Prior experience includes roles at Deltex Medical from July 2011 to July 2018, where responsibilities encompassed developing eLearning modules and delivering scientific seminars, along with authoring technical documents. Carissa began an academic career at the University of Otago, fulfilling roles such as Physiology Teaching Fellow and Assistant Lecturer/Laboratory Coordinator, where activities involved teaching, tutoring, and coordinating undergraduate laboratories. Carissa holds a PhD in Physiology focused on cerebral blood flow and a BPhEd (Hons) in Physical Education, both from the University of Otago.
