Howard Nuehlen has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles.

Howard is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Henkel since May 2021.

Prior to that, they worked as a Head Brewer at Candlewood Brewing Company from October 2020 to July 2022. In this role, they were responsible for recipe development, ordering ingredients, brewing beer, and managing brewery equipment. Howard also oversaw fermentation and dry hopping processes.

Before joining Candlewood Brewing Company, Howard worked at Unilever HPC as a Sr. Packaging Engineer from June 2006 to May 2021. Howard was responsible for packaging specifications, new product launches, and cross-functional collaboration for deodorant, skin, and hair products.

From October 2000 to December 2005, Howard worked as a Project Engineer at Risdon International Inc. Their responsibilities included overseeing engineering aspects of new product development, creating 3D models and drawings, and managing project budgets.

Prior to that, they worked at MAHLE in various roles including Area Manager, Plating and Waste Water Treatment, Project Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer. In these roles, they managed technical support and quality assurance in plating departments, collaborated with vendors on tooling and schedule changes, and provided management and technical support in manufacturing.

Howard Nuehlen obtained an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from Waterbury State Technical College between 1988 and 1990. Howard then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, completing it from 1990 to 1995. In 2009, they attended Smallpiece, UK, where they earned a Manufacturing 6-Sigma Green Belt.
