Russell Murdock currently serves as the Venue Sector Technical Director, Convention Center Practice Director, and Principal at Henderson Engineers, a national building systems design firm, since April 2015. In this role, Russell oversees project management and electrical engineering while promoting creativity and community service. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at Kansas State University from August 2011 to June 2016, focusing on electrical and lighting systems design. Russell began a career as a Professional Engineer at Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. from June 2000 to August 2011. Educationally, Russell holds both Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus from Kansas State University, completed in 2000, and graduated from Raytown South High School in Raytown, MO, in 1994.
