Vilma Petro is an experienced professional with a robust background in local governance and policy development. Currently serving as the Regional Coordinator for the "Strong Municipalities" project at Helvetas since November 2018, Vilma provides consultancy and coaching in local governance within the Korca region of Albania. Prior roles include Adviser to the Minister of Justice, Aide to the Prime Minister, and Chief of Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister in various governmental settings. Additionally, Vilma has directed policy development and strategic planning at the Municipality of Korca and served as a part-time professor in educational methodologies at the University of Korca. Vilma holds two master's degrees, one in Pedagogy from the University of Tirana and another in Teacher Education and Professional Development from "Alexander Xhuvani" University of Elbasan.
