Matti Talvela is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic management and business development. Currently serving as Strategy Manager at Wärtsilä since March 2020, Matti has led key projects to implement Wärtsilä Energy's strategy while supporting business analysis activities. Additionally, Matti holds board member positions at Helkama-Auto Oy and Helkama Kodinkoneet Oy, as well as previously at Helkama Rent Oy. Prior roles include Head of US Operations at Startuplifers, Harbour Captain at Juva Shipping Oy, and Customer Journey Analyst at Danske Bank. Matti has a strong academic background with multiple Master's degrees in Economics and Information Networks and Industrial Engineering from Aalto University, supplemented by studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Pace University.
