Michel Edelaar has extensive experience in rehabilitation and project management, currently serving as the Program Manager for the new construction project at the Education and Expertise Center De Vaandel at Heliomare since 1999. Edelaar previously held the position of Program Manager for Early Intervention at Cooperatie U.A., focusing on sustainable employee engagement amid potential labor imbalances. With a background as Centre Coordinator for Heliomare and Early Intervention at the European Platform for Rehabilitation from 2015 to 2023, Edelaar has been involved in enhancing rehabilitation services across Europe. Additional freelancing experience in sports rehabilitation and training complements a robust educational background, including degrees from Maastricht University, Hogeschool Leiden, and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, alongside specialized certifications in project management and coaching from the Royal Netherlands Athletics Union. Notable contributions include 76 publications, with ten internationally, and several books and poster presentations on rehabilitation practices.
