Chelsey Scaffidi serves as Senior Legal Counsel at Heising-Simons Foundation, providing legal support to program staff and overseeing corporate governance. Previously, at MacArthur Foundation, Chelsey held the role of Associate General Counsel, where responsibilities included negotiating impact investments and advising on compliance issues for exempt organizations. Earlier experience includes work as a Corporate Associate in the Business and Finance Group at Horwood Marcus & Berk, a Legal Fellowship in the Office of the General Counsel at MacArthur Foundation, and various internships focusing on litigation, child law, and corporate strategy. Chelsey holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and multiple finance degrees from Michigan State University.
