Tristan Day has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Tristan began their career as a NASA Space Grant Intern at The University of Arizona in 2007. From there, they became an Engineering Intern at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. In 2009, they joined Caltech as a Graduate Student.
After completing their studies, Tristan worked at Intel Corporation as a Process Engineer. During their time there, they made significant contributions including improving communication pathways, introducing die-picking tools, and developing pick and place processes. Tristan also mentored and trained new engineers, conducted experiments, and managed ISO 9001 certification.
Following their tenure at Intel, Tristan worked as a Principal Engineer at Matrix Industries. There, they gained further experience and expertise. In 2020, they joined Astranis as a Thermal Engineer, where they continued to expand their skillset. Currently, they are employed at Heirloom in the same role.
Tristan Day began their education in 2005 at the University of Arizona, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. The specific field of study during this time is unknown. Tristan completed their studies at the University of Arizona in 2009.
Subsequently, in 2009, Tristan Day enrolled at Caltech. Tristan pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering with a field of study in Materials Science. Tristan successfully completed their studies at Caltech in 2015.
