Björn Jónsson is an experienced executive in the maritime and financial sectors, currently serving as COO, co-founder, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hefring Marine since January 2017. Under Björn's leadership, Hefring Marine has leveraged AI and IoT technologies to offer innovative solutions for vessel operators, enhancing safety and efficiency. Prior to this, Björn was the Managing Director at Rafnar Maritime from June 2010 to November 2018, where innovative hull technology was developed, significantly reducing slamming impacts. Björn's financial expertise was honed over nearly two decades at Banque Havilland S.A. and Íslandsbanki, focusing on private banking and asset management. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Háskóli Íslands, earned between 1983 and 1988.
