Brendan O'Dwyer is a prominent academic in the field of accounting, currently serving as a Professor of Accounting and Director of Research at the University of Amsterdam Business School since November 2004, and as a Professor (Chair) of Accounting at Alliance Manchester Business School since September 2016. Brendan is actively involved in editorial roles, including Editor for Accounting, Organizations and Society, and Associate Editor for the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal. Additional roles include participation on the Scientific Advisory Board at HEC Paris and advisory board membership for the SOM Research Institute at the University of Groningen. Brendan holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Accounting from the University of Dundee and an MSc in Accounting from the University of Galway, along with qualifications as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
