John Howells is the Vice President of Industry Relations at the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA), a position held since August 2002, with a focus on the implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). Howells has presented on topics such as serialization, traceability, and barcoding at various regulatory meetings and conferences. Previously, Howells served as Vice President of Technology at Boatopia, Inc., and as Director of Strategic Information Systems and Electronic Commerce at METROCALL, Inc., where a corporate e-commerce strategy and online marketplace were developed. Prior experience also includes consulting for Fortune 200 companies at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and system programming at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company. Howells holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from Syracuse University.
