Lee Smith possesses extensive experience in operational management within the healthcare and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Digital Assisted Channels at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since May 2023, Lee previously held several senior roles at Canterbury District Health Board from September 2019 to May 2023, including Senior Operations Manager and Operations Lead for COVID-19 Readiness & Resilience. Lee has effectively led initiatives to ensure service delivery during the pandemic, developed screening services, and established operational frameworks for Managed Isolation Quarantine facilities. Prior to the healthcare sector, Lee worked at Vodafone and TelstraClear in various operational management roles, focusing on sales transformation, operational excellence, and quality improvement.
