Matt Schwartz is a highly experienced legal professional and corporate leader at DLA Piper, where Matt has served as the US Finance Practice Group Leader since June 2000, progressing from Associate to Partner and later heading the Venture & Growth Finance division. In addition to Matt's role at DLA Piper, Matt co-founded The Legal Mentor Network to connect law students and new lawyers with mentors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Matt also serves as a board advisor and pro bono counsel for various organizations, including HeadCount Org, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, and the Randy Jones Foundation, which supports military personnel and veterans. Additionally, Matt has made significant contributions as an investor and advisor in multiple early-stage technology and healthcare companies. Matt earned a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in Political Science and Business Administration from The George Washington University.
