Charles Cobbs, M.D. serves as the Director and Neurosurgeon at the Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Swedish Medical Center since July 2013. Possessing board certification in Neurological Surgery from the American Board of Neurological Surgery since January 2000, Charles Cobbs has an extensive medical career that includes a position as a Neurosurgeon at California Pacific Medical Center from June 2005 to June 2013 and as Chief of Neurosurgery at the VA Hospital during tenure at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from July 1997 to May 2005. Charles Cobbs completed a residency in Neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco from June 1991 to June 1997, and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine from 1986 to 1991, following a Bachelor's degree in Classics and Classical Languages from Princeton University from 1981 to 1985.
