Jim Simmons has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jim has served as the VP of Programs at the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Co-Chairman of the Caltech Angels Network starting in 2019. In 2020, they co-founded and became the CEO of a stealth fashion technology startup. Jim also has experience as a Board Member for eLOT, Inc., eLottery, Inc., and Sylvan Source (SSI). Jim was the Managing Partner of Simmons Goodspeed Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on early-stage startups in the enterprise hardware space. Additionally, Jim co-founded the Caltech Alumni Entrepreneurship Group, which provides support for technical idea development. Jim has also served as a Board Member for LucidPort Technology, Inc. and as the President of the Caltech Alumni Association. Prior to that, Jim worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Draper Richards, LP, where they identified investment opportunities and acted as an interim COO for portfolio companies.
Jim Simmons went to Caltech where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics. Jim later attended Harvard Business School to pursue an MBA degree.
