Joanne Schmitt Hawes is an experienced clinical professional in the field of addiction treatment and counseling. Currently serving as Clinical Director and Addiction Program Manager at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation since August 2019, Joanne previously held the role of Addiction Counselor at the same organization from July 2016 to July 2018. Joanne's career includes leadership as Head Counsellor at The Cabin Hong Kong, a facility specializing in outpatient addiction treatment from January 2015 to June 2016. Additionally, Joanne is the owner of The Support System, which provides confidential counseling services in Hong Kong, with a focus on Imago Couples counseling and addiction-related issues. Joanne holds a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Graduate School and a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
