Jack Smith Ballingall serves as the Manager of Māori Partnerships at Hawke's Bay Regional Council, focusing on facilitating interactions between mana whenua and the council to ensure services meet the needs of both Māori and the Crown. Previously, Jack acted as the Iwi Liaison at the Hawkes Bay Group Emergency Coordination Centre during Cyclone Gabrielle, ensuring a coordinated response for Māori. In addition to current responsibilities, Jack has been involved with yLead since February 2014 as a mentor and facilitator for leadership conferences aimed at young leaders. Jack has also held roles as a Commercial Executive at ZURU Toy Company, Business Advisor at Tipu Ake Tonu, and FAS Associate at PwC, following an internship with the same firm. Jack holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington.
