Colin Belisle is a highly skilled violist with extensive experience in various orchestral and chamber music settings. Currently serving as a Substitute/Extra Violist for the San Francisco Opera since September 2022 and as a Section Viola member with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra since January 2012, Colin has contributed significantly to the musical landscape in Hawaii and beyond. In addition, Colin fulfills the role of Personnel Manager for the San Francisco Symphony and has performed with notable ensembles such as Chamber Music Hawaii, where involvement as a violist included participation in the Galliard String Quartet and Tresemble. Education credentials include a Graduate Diploma and a Master of Music in Viola Performance from New England Conservatory of Music, alongside a Bachelor of Music degree from Lawrence University. Colin has also held multiple teaching positions, directing Suzuki programs and providing private instruction in both violin and viola.
