Michael Otsuji serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Hawaii State Department of Education since June 2023. Prior to this role, Michael was the PREP Strategic Program Manager at the Hawaii State Department of Health from May 2021 to June 2023 and held the position of Enterprise Architect at the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation from June 2019 to May 2021. Michael also worked as the IT Service Operations Officer for the State of Hawaii from June 2015 to June 2019. Academically, Michael Otsuji earned a Masterā€™s degree in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in December 2021 and previously obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the same institution between 1977 and 2001.
