Petra Doan is a Board Member at Haverford College. Petra was previously a Senior Fulbright Scholar at The University of Jordan for three consecutive summers from 1995-1997. Her research project was on Post Peace Planning in the Cities and Towns of Jordan. Petra was also a Team Leader at RTI International from January 1989 to December 1989, conducting a USAID funded survey of market towns in southern Niger. Florida State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are both previous employers of Petra Doan's, where they held the positions of Visiting Assistant Professor and Project Evaluator, respectively. Petra Doan has also worked as a Regional Planning Advisor for the Ministry of Planning in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and as a management analyst for the US Department of Justice.
Petra Doan received their BA in philosophy from Haverford College and their M.R.P. and Ph.D. in city planning from Cornell University.
