Sandra Hazlehurst has been serving as Hastings Mayor since October 2010, having previously held the positions of Deputy Mayor and Hastings District Councillor, where contributions included chairing the District Development Committee with a focus on social and economic development, chairing Safer Hastings, and representing various trusts. Additionally, Sandra Hazlehurst has been a Commercial Landlord for Tainui Reserve Trust since May 2003, and held the role of Chairman at Hastings Arts and Culture Trust from 2010 to 2017, as well as Chairman of the Hastings City Business Association from 2006 to 2010.
