Jasai Martinez

Mathematics Course Assistant at Harvard University

Jasai Martinez is currently a Mathematics Course Assistant at Harvard University, supporting Math 25a: Theoretical Linear Algebra and Real Analysis I since June 2023. Additional roles include serving as a CS & Mathematics Peer Tutor at the Academic Resource Center, a Computer Science Peer Concentration Advisor, and a Quantitative Reasoning Mentor at the Crimson Summer Academy. Jasai holds leadership positions as Co-Communication Chair for Harvard Fuerza Latina and as a SEAS Ambassador for the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In community engagement, Jasai is the VP of Community Engagement for Harvard Undergraduate LiFT, while simultaneously working as a Barista at Peet's Coffee since February 2022. Prior experiences include serving as Student Body Vice President at Laney College and completing legal internships with TNTP and the Center For Youth Development through Law. Jasai is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Statistics & Data Science at Harvard University, following an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Laney College and a high school diploma from LPS Oakland R & D Campus.
