Louis Hopper, CFA, currently serves as the Head of US Power Trading at Hartree Partners since September 2023. Prior to this role, Louis was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Millennium from October 2020 to September 2023. Louis has extensive experience in commodities trading, previously holding senior positions at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners, including Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Energy, among others, from June 2013 to October 2020. Earlier career roles include Trader Vice President at Noble Group and Senior Vice President at Sempra Energy Trading, along with other positions at Hydro Québec and TAL Global Asset Management. Academically, Louis holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
