Omar Reid serves as the Executive Vice President Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Harris Health System, the fourth largest community-based hospital system in the United States, since March 2016. Concurrently, Omar holds the position of Director of Human Resources for the City of Houston, beginning in 2010, where significant accomplishments include restructuring the human resources department into a centralized client services model, negotiating a self-insured health plan that yielded substantial cost savings, and implementing innovative employee development and wellness programs. Omar Reid holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Texas Southern University and multiple Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of Houston-Downtown.
