Monika Hansen currently serves as the Out of State Director for Harris for President since September 2024. Prior to this role, Monika was the Director of Market Operations East at BlocPower from February 2023 to September 2024. Monika also held the position of State Director in the Office of US Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand from October 2021 to February 2023 and worked as the Campaign Manager for Kathryn Garcia for Mayor in early 2021. Monika's experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff at the NYC Department of Sanitation from May 2017 to January 2021, a Field Organizer for Hillary for America in 2016, and General Manager at MetaProp NYC in 2016. Earlier roles include Program Manager at StartUp Health and Digital Strategist at McCann Health. Monika began a professional career as a Legal Assistant at Bromberg, Kohler Maya & Petre PLLC. Monika holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University.
