Okendo Lewis-Gayle is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in various high-profile roles. As the Founder and Chairman of Harambeans since May 2007, Lewis-Gayle has been pivotal in promoting African entrepreneurship. Co-founding and serving as Co-Chairman of the Servant Leadership Summit at the Vatican since May 2017, Lewis-Gayle has also held positions such as Entrepreneur in Residence at Schwarzman Scholars and Africa Advisor for both the Rhodes Trust and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in 2018 and 2017, respectively. From September 2011 to July 2014, Lewis-Gayle served as Strategy Advisor to the Costa Rican Ambassador to the Holy See and briefly as a Summer Research Assistant at the Holy See Secretariat of State in 2010. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, Venture Capital & Private Equity from Harvard Business School, and Development Ventures from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all undertaken in 2016-2017.
