Vimbai Mudangwe is a fellow in the Brooks MPA program at Cornell University. Her concentration is in Public and Non-Profit Management, and she is passionate about finding sustainable solutions to persistent social issues relating to the availability of healthcare, gender inequality, and mental health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Monash University in Melbourne Australia. Vimbai brings with her a strong understanding of the private sector and how it differs from the public sector. This intersectoral knowledge allows her to be adaptable and possess a holistic approach to problem-solving. Vimbai worked at Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Texas as a Summer Analyst in the Corporate Workplace Solutions division specializing in third-party risk management as well as strategic sourcing. She serves on the board of Project Love, a non-profit that focuses on empowering low-income communities in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Peru, and has also worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Bethany Retirement Living, another non-profit in Fargo, North Dakota. Following her interest in understanding social issues, Vimbai has also volunteered in Turkey where she taught English to children with disabilities. Her vast intercultural life experiences have equipped her to work well in teams and with clients and people of diverse backgrounds. Vimbai has also consulted for the Tompkins County Suicide Prevention Coalition Data Subgroup. Growing up she always loved the theatre and looks forward to being part of the Hangar family.
