Michael Ma has extensive experience in the banking industry. Michael currently serves as the Head of Operations at Hang Seng Bank since February 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at HSBC, including Head of Credit Services and Collateral Management, Senior Business Management Manager, Chief Risk and Administration Officer, Head of Operations for different regions in China, and Operations Project Manager. Michael started their career at HSBC as an Assistant Operations Manager, where they supported the establishment of a Network Service Center for multiple branches in China. Overall, Michael has a strong background in operations and risk management within the banking sector.

Michael Ma completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting from Tsinghua University in 2005, after which they went on to pursue a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Accounting at the same institution from 2005 to 2007.
