JP Hansen is the founder and general manager of HANDEL, a specialist agency focusing on business-to-business marketing in high growth industries, established in April 2014. Previously, JP served as the Field Marketing Manager for Africa at OpenText from October 2019 to July 2024, where responsibilities included defining the African marketing strategy. JP also held the position of Country Manager for South Africa at OnChannel from October 2011 to April 2014, playing a key role in launching the subsidiary. Prior experience includes serving as Business Group Manager at NetPartnering, where a new business unit was established, and roles at Fleishman-Hillard and Kilimanjaro Communication Management Consultants as Account Director. JP began a career in account management at Text 100, with clients including Dimension Data and Microsoft. JP Hansen holds a BA (Honours) in Corporate Communication from the University of Johannesburg, earned cum laude.
