Peter G. Grossman is a partner in the Firm’s corporate, municipal, real estate and trusts & estates practices. He focuses on assisting clients with matters related to residential and commercial real estate, estate and trust planning, probate/estate administration and municipal law. Peter advises towns and villages on a variety of legal issues, including zoning, contractual agreements, finance and subdivision review.
He has over 40 years of experience as an attorney, focusing on commercial and residential transactions, corporate formation and management, municipal law, trusts and estate planning, and probate and estate administration. He has extensive experience with New York municipal law, representing municipalities in planning board procedures, legislative drafting, contracting, real estate matters and general matters.
Peter is a member of the New York State Bar Association, serving as a member of the House of Delegates from 1991 to 1994 and from 2014 to the present. He is a member of the Tompkins County Bar Association having served as Secretary of the Association from 1983-1991 and as a member and Chairman of the Tompkins County Bar Association Grievance Committee from 1990 to the present.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University and a graduate of the Washington College of Law of American University. Prior to joining Hancock Estabrook, he was a partner at Barney, Grossman & Dubow.
