Nirav Shah is an advisor for healthcare at Hammer Of The Gods. Nirav was previously the Chief Medical Officer at Sharecare from February 2021 to May 2022. Prior to that, they were with GSR Ventures.
Before that, they were with STERIS Corporation. Before that, they were at Stanford University.
Previously, they were also the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for clinical operations at Kaiser Permanente from January 2014 to December 2017. In this role, they oversaw health plan and hospital quality, service, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and licensure, as well as the continuum of care, and the effective use of technology, data, and analytics to produce better patient health outcomes for a $26B region serving 4.4M members across 15 hospitals, with 10,000 physicians. Nirav also served as a liaison with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group for medical education, graduate medical education, and research.
Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Nirav Shah was the Commissioner of the New York State Department of Health from January 2011 to December 2014.
Nirav Shah has an AB in Biology from Harvard University and an MD from Yale University School of Medicine. Nirav also has an MPH in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health and is a Fellow of the RWJ Clinical Scholars Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
